The SwimAble NZ Winter Challenge is all go!!! Cheers to Ryan Logan – our first Spot prize Winner!!!!

Our Swim Challenge has started a week ago, and we are so grateful for all the support we have received from people participating in this challenge and donating to make swimming more accessible for others.

Ryan Logan is one of our 100km competitors and he just scored one of our spot prizes. Congrats Ryan!!!

Here is a few words from Ryan:

“My love of swimming started at a early age when I started swimming at orange with my swim instructors being Lawrence and Jamie. They showed me what fun swimming was and Lawrence use to tell me about his open water adventures which inspired me to both give open water a try and to try swim instructor when I was old enough. I’m now a swim instructor where I started my journey giving back to our community and trying to instil a love of swimming for my swim groups. Maxine has helped me with my open water journey having started swimming on a Monday night with RATS. This had helped me build confidence and enjoy longer distance. My happy place is in the lake or at the mount being free, having fun and being able to relax and enjoy my swimming. I wanted to give back to swim able so that swimming is accessible for all.”

Thank you Ryan and keep on swimming!!!

Great, supportive instructor who works with you at your own individual level allowing you to gain confidence and skills over time along with sharing her invaluable water knowledge. Super encouraging and won’t push anyone too soon. She just knows where to start and where to go next. Highly recommended!
